World's Largest Custard Cream Biscuit at Guinness World Record Day 2010

Good look trying to find a cup of tea big enough to dunk it in. This is the world's largest custard cream biscuit.
Created by Simon Morgan & Paul Thacker on Guinness World Records Day, the massive treat measures a whopping 59cm long and 39cm wide and weighs 15.73kg.

The duo said they came up with the idea of creating a giant biscuit in a bid to raise money for charity while also gaining themselves a place in the record books.

Asked why they picked the humble custard cream to recreate the lads said they'd already made a big Bourbon and Jammie Dodger and wanted to do something different. Obviously.

The big biscuit -- which took 11 and a half hours to create -- is now being auctioned off for charity on eBay and bids have already reached £400 with a day left.

World's Largest Luminous Pearl - Yemengzhu

World's Largest Luminous Pearl - Yemengzhu. A mystery to the western world, luminous pearls are legendary in China, and people go to great lengths for a chance to even touch one of them. The largest luminous pearl has just been placed on display, in China’s Hainan province.

Very little is known about the giant green pearls of China. The few who actually have heard of these remarkable jewels refer to them as “Yemengzhu” and praise them to be rarities that bring good luck. They have been a part of Chinese legends for centuries, and people there believe that just touching them can bring great fortune and prosperity. But this kind of myths are all to common in a traditional country like China, and what makes Yemengzhu special has little to do with local lore.

World’s Largest Shipyard Grave at Nouadhibou

The city of Nouadhibou is the second largest city in Mauritania and serves as the country's commercial center. The port of Nouadhibou is the final resting place of over 300 ships which were abandoned by their owners. These ships rusting in the shallow waters has given the port of Nouadhibou the notorious name of being the world’s largest ship graveyard. Unlike the en masse arrival of ships at Mallows Bay, here the number of craft has built up over time, as corrupt officials accepted bribes from boat owners to allow them to dump their vessels in the area.
